With our own grown blend of botanicals our facial steam will leave your skin hydrated and feeling like you just stepped out of the spa.
Facial steams are not only great for your skin by opening up the pores and helping with circulation but they also allow topical products to be absorbed more easily into the skin.
This facial steam can be added to a bowl of hot water for a DIY steam or added to a facial steamer. We have flaked the larger rose petals so they're more compact allowing for the maximum benefit from the petals and leaves in each jar.
- The jars may seem small and cute but they sure do hold a lot of flower power. There is enough for 3-4 facial steams per jar.
We grow our own botanicals which are handpicked and dried in small batches to ensure the best quality. The natural aroma is beautiful so there's no need to add any essential oils.
Ingredients: Chamomile Flowers, Rose Petals (flaked), Calendula Petals, Lavender and Rosemary Leaves.
Instructions: Prepare a bowl of boiling water and one tablespoon of the facial steam ingredients, let sit for a few minutes so the florals can steep and the water can start to cool down. Check the steam is not too hot before placing face over the bowl with a towel covering your head and the bowl. While keeping your eyes closed you can do this for 5 - 10 minutes. When finished dab your face dry with a soft towel. Continue with your cleansers or moisturiser.
- Make sure the steam is not too hot when you place your face over the bowl - it can burn your skin.
- Only steam a maximum of twice a week
- Hold your head at least 15cm above the bowl
- If irritation occurs discontinue use.
You can keep the water and use as a toner or room spray (as you would rose water). Set bowl aside and allow to cool completely, add to clean jar or sprayer and store in the fridge. Your floral water will last a few days in the fridge as there are no preservatives.
